As many of you know, the soccer fields located on the corner of Rocky Weed Road and Cleveland Avenue have become an asset to the Lincoln Township community.  These fields have served their purpose well for many youth soccer teams from various organizations in the Southwest Michigan area.  Due to the popularity of this athletic venue, the decision to expand the offerings to other types of recreational activities has been made.  As a way to enhance the existing and future offerings, we would like to be able to offer permanent facilities for concessions and restrooms.  By having structures such as these, the area would become even more beneficial to parents, players and spectators and enable it to be utilized to its fullest potential.

Our goal is to see these new facilities completed by the spring of 2009, so they could begin being used by the start of the new soccer season.  In an effort to raise the necessary funds for these additions, the Southwest Michigan Select Soccer Organization will accept any monetary contributions and will be organizing several fund raising events in the next few months.  The monetary contributions will be recognized by a plaque display, signage, or some other visible designation showing the organization’s appreciation.  It is our hope that the parents, players, and the community show their support by participating in these events when possible and by making any monetary contributions possible.
